Tigers are increasingly venturing into human settlements in Jagtial and Siddipet districts of Telangana, causing widespread fear.

A tiger was sighted near Mothkur Raopeta village in Jagtial, with paw prints confirming its presence.
•
In Siddipet, a 4-5 year old tiger is attacking and killing livestock and calves in Koheda and Chinnakodur mandals.
•
Forest and Police departments are issuing public announcements, advising villagers to go to fields in groups and avoid night travel.
•
Decreasing forest cover and lack of natural food are cited as reasons for tigers entering villages; CC cameras and trap cages are being deployed.
