Top Maoist Leaders Surrender to Telangana DGP, Rs 90 Lakh Reward Announced

Four top Maoist leaders, including a Polit Bureau member, surrendered before Telangana DGP Shivadhar Reddy.

The surrendered leaders are Dev Ji alias Tippiri Tirupati, Malla Raji Reddy, Bade Chokkarao alias Damodar, and Nunne Narasimha Reddy.

A total reward of Rs. 90 lakhs has been announced for their surrender, with individual rewards ranging from Rs. 20 to 25 lakhs.

Reasons for surrender include CM Revanth Reddy's call, internal disputes, ideological differences, and security force operations.

Since 2024, 591 Maoists have surrendered in Telangana, indicating a weakening of the armed struggle.
