Chandauli Traffic Police: 200 Free Helmets for Students, 400 Drivers Fined

Chandauli traffic police launched a special campaign at Ganji Prasad Tirahe to reduce road accidents.
•
Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe initiated the drive, led by Traffic CO Krishna Murari Sharma and Traffic Inspector Satyaprakash Yadav.
•
In January and February, 22 people died in road accidents in the district, with 18 fatalities due to not wearing helmets.
•
Approximately 200 free helmets were distributed to students, especially those going to UP Board exams, to promote safe travel.
•
Around 400 drivers, from heavy to small vehicles, were fined for traffic rule violations; the campaign aims to save lives, not just collect revenue.
