Dad, I'm Free! Ghaziabad Engineer Ketan Mehta Released from Iran Jail After 57 Days

Merchant Navy engineer Ketan Mehta from Ghaziabad has been released from an Iranian jail after 57 days.

He was arrested by the Iranian Coast Guard at Bandar Abbas Port on January 6, 2026, and held in a Tehran jail.

His father, Mukesh Mehta, appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Prime Minister for his safe return.

The Indian Embassy facilitated contact with his family and advocated for his release in court.
