Fake NHRC Official Threatens Dasna Jail, Lands Himself Behind Bars

• A man impersonating Amit Pandey, Joint Secretary of NHRC Lucknow, called Dasna District Jail, demanding to speak to the Superintendent.
• The caller, later identified as Arun Kumar Mishra, threatened the jail staff with a Human Rights Commission inquiry and DG Jail intervention.
• Jail Superintendent identified the fraud as NHRC headquarters is in Delhi and Lucknow has no such post; police traced the number.
• Arun Kumar Mishra, a resident of Ganganagar B-55, Meerut, was arrested and found to have a history of fraud, blackmail, and impersonation.
• Mishra, who previously threatened officials by posing as PMO Chief Secretary, is now imprisoned in the same Dasna Jail he threatened.
