Faucet Thieves Terrorize Hardoi: 70 Homes Hit, Water Wasted, Police Blamed

A gang of 'faucet thieves' has caused chaos in the Mishrana neighborhood of Pihani town, Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh.

Thieves targeted valuable faucets installed under the government's Har Ghar Jal scheme, stealing from dozens of houses in one night.

Approximately 60 to 70 houses have had their faucets stolen, leading to continuous water wastage and waterlogging in streets.
•
Residents are facing a water crisis and accuse the police administration of negligence due to lack of night patrolling.
•
Victims have appealed to the police to investigate, apprehend the gang, and increase night patrolling to prevent future thefts.
