Ghaziabad's MMG Critical Care Unit Delayed 2 Years, New May 2026 Deadline Set

Ghaziabad's 100-bed Critical Care Unit at MMG Hospital, incomplete for two years, now targets May 2026 for completion.
•
The Rs 35 crore unit, initiated by Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, faced delays due to budget allocation issues.
•
CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan confirmed budget resolution, instructing completion by May 31st, with staff and equipment proposals sent.
•
It will offer world-class, free treatment for critically ill, accident, and burn victims, reducing referrals to Delhi hospitals like Safdarjung.
•
A separate 200-bed District Hospital project (Rs 80 crore) is also slow, aiming for 2028 completion to serve Ghaziabad's 5 million residents.
