Gorakhpur to get International Stadium: CM Yogi announces Rs 339 crore project

• Uttar Pradesh government and Indian Oil Corporation Limited signed an MoU for the Gorakhpur International Cricket Stadium.
• CM Yogi Adityanath announced the stadium will cost Rs 339 crore, with contributions from Indian Oil (Rs 60 crore), Bharat Petroleum (Rs 30 crore), and Hindustan Petroleum (Rs 10 crore).
• The main stadium complex will span 45 acres, with ancillary facilities on 5 acres, and will be built to ICC standards.
• It will feature seven main pitches, four practice pitches, and a seating capacity for approximately 30,000 spectators.
• The multi-purpose stadium, developed under the EPC model, will host international cricket and other major events, with a link road planned for accessibility.
