•A 17-year-old girl was allegedly thrown into the Gomti river by her maternal uncle, Kuldeep, after he failed in a rape attempt.
•The incident occurred in Lucknow under Mandiaon police station limits, shaking the entire area.
•Kuldeep took the girl on his bike under the pretext of getting medicine, then later called her brother claiming she was abducted.
•Police found Kuldeep intoxicated; the girl's clothes and slippers were found near Ghaila Bridge.
•The girl's body was recovered from the Gomti river by an SDRF team; Kuldeep confessed during interrogation.
