• 28 Bangladeshi children, trafficked to India, were repatriated to Bangladesh via Petrapole-Benapole border.
• The repatriation occurred immediately after the oath-taking of Bangladesh's newly elected Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman.
• The group included 8 girls and 20 boys, originally from various districts like Rangpur, Khulna, and Jessore.
• These children had been sheltered in West Bengal for three to seven years after being detained by Indian police.
