Belda's Waste-to-Profit Project: 1 Crore Initiative to End Garbage Woes

Belda, West Medinipur, launches a 1 crore solid waste management project to tackle long-standing garbage issues.
•
The project, initiated by Narayangarh Panchayat Samiti and Belda 2 Gram Panchayat, will convert waste into profit.
•
Organic waste will be used to produce vermicompost, which will be marketed locally.
•
Non-biodegradable plastics will be sent for recycling into new products.
•
The project aims to free Belda residents from garbage and generate revenue for the Panchayat, with inauguration on February 26.
