Howrah's Bali Station gets grand 30 Cr Amrit Bharat makeover, blending heritage with modernity

• Howrah's Bali Station is undergoing a Rs 30 crore modernization under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme', transforming it into a modern hub.
• The project aims to blend Bali's rich heritage and classical architecture with modern amenities, including wide roads, gardens, and improved lighting.
• New facilities for specially-abled passengers include lifts, escalators, low-height ticket counters, tactile pathways, and Braille maps.
• Enhanced passenger experience with state-of-the-art display boards, help booths, pure drinking water, a modern foot overbridge, and CCTV security.
• Bali Station, a crucial link between Howrah and Kolkata and a gateway to spiritual sites like Dakshineswar, is one of 101 stations in West Bengal being developed under the scheme.
