•The incident occurred in Deganga, North 24 Parganas, after his wife filed an alimony case two years ago.
•Pal, a karate master, had previously served jail time for the same case.
•He claims innocence and stated he would rather serve jail time than pay alimony.
•Pal informed police he would appear whenever summoned, even showing up at the police station in the uniform.
