Indian Railways' Humane Act: Migrant Woman Delivers Baby on Moving Train

A migrant laborer's wife, Kachiran Nesha (35), gave birth to a baby girl on the Down SMVT Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Yesvantpur Express (12864).
•
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon after the train left Balasore station, Odisha, while she was traveling from Karnataka to Assam.
•
Railway Police were promptly informed, and the train was stopped at Belda station for immediate medical assistance.
•
Mother and newborn were rescued and admitted to Belda Super Specialty Hospital, where both are reported to be in good health.
•
The family praised Indian Railways for their swift and humane action, ensuring safe delivery and care.
