Ketugram: Villagers brave 30-foot bamboo ladder to access Bhagirathi River for 5 months

For five months, villagers, including women, have been forced to use a dangerous 30-foot bamboo ladder to access the river for daily needs.

The erosion threatens the ancient Shiva Ghat, used by multiple villages and for worship at the Bhattacharya family's Shiva temple.

Erosion is spreading, endangering the Shankhai-Uddharanpur road and villages like Mougram and Raghupur.

Ketugram-II Panchayat Samiti reported the issue to the Irrigation Department, which inspected the site, but residents remain fearful.
