LPG Shortage Hits Tamluk: Devi Bargabhima Temple Halts Public Offerings from March 21
•
A severe LPG cylinder crisis, linked to the Middle East war, has forced Tamluk's Devi Bargabhima temple to stop public offerings.
•
Offerings for the general public will cease from March 21 to April 30 due to the shortage of commercial gas cylinders.
•
Two years ago, the temple switched to commercial gas for cooking offerings, adhering to Food Safety Department (FSSAI) rules for hygiene.
•
Hundreds of devotees daily receive offerings; pre-booked orders, including one for 200 people by Swapna Adhikari, are cancelled.
•
Shivaji Adhikari, temple management secretary, confirmed that daily worship and a small amount of offerings for the deity will continue.
