Matua Voters' Names Deleted from List in Bagda: 72-Year-Old Cries Foul

In Bagda, North 24 Parganas, 47 pending Matua voters from Part 127 of Helancha Mandapghata were excluded from the supplementary list.
•
72-year-old Ashutosh Biswas, a Matua with Thakur Bari registration and a government house, found his vote deleted despite having voted since 1995.
•
Ashutosh Biswas's son's vote was already deleted, and now his own is gone, leaving him distraught.
•
Matua Mati Sadhak from Mandapghata also found his pending vote deleted, after 5 out of 6 family members' votes were previously removed.
•
Concerns rise in the Matua-dominated Bagda Assembly constituency where 15,303 votes were excluded and over 13,000 were pending.
