• A mother, Manju Tikadar, committed suicide after her son, Susobhan Tikadar, died in a road accident on Kalyani Expressway.
• Susobhan was hit by a truck near Mohanpur Police Station while returning home and died on the spot.
• Manju Tikadar, 58, rushed to B.N. Bose Hospital, and upon seeing her son's lifeless body, she was devastated.
• Returning home to Shyamnagar, North 24 Parganas, she took her own life in her room.
• Basudebpur Police Station recovered her body and a suicide note, while Mohanpur Police Station is investigating the accident.
