New 12.6 MW Power Substation in Dantan to End Load Shedding, Benefit Three Blocks

• A new 12.6 MW power substation is being built in Dantan, West Medinipur, to resolve long-standing load shedding and voltage fluctuation issues.
• The project, costing approximately 9.84 crore rupees, is funded by the state government and undertaken by WBSEDCL and the Department of Power.
• It will benefit all areas of Dantan Block No. 1, Dantan Block No. 2, and several Gram Panchayat areas of Narayangarh Block.
• The substation in Dantan's Punja area will provide uninterrupted power, especially to remote riverine areas, improving life for farmers, traders, and students.
• This initiative aims to reduce the load on existing substations and provide a permanent solution to frequent power disruptions during adverse weather.
