•The recent death of Altab Mondal (48) after being hit by a truck at the same spot triggered widespread anger among villagers.
•Locals blocked the road, protesting and demanding the immediate installation of speed bumps and CCTV cameras.
•Protesters allege that despite repeated assurances from the local panchayat and police, no action has been taken to address the dangerous intersection.
