Over 100 Fall Ill After Wedding Feast in North 24 Parganas; Bride, Groom Hospitalized

• More than a hundred people, including the new bride and groom, fell ill after attending a wedding feast in Changa Chandpur village, Bagda Police Station, North 24 Parganas.
• Guests from both the bride's and groom's sides experienced symptoms like stomach pain, loose motions, and headaches after consuming the wedding meal.
• A total of 84 patients arrived at Bagda Rural Hospital; 30 were admitted, one transferred to Bongaon Sub-divisional Hospital, and others discharged after primary treatment.
• Asaru Gram Panchayat Chief Sumana Mondal arranged ambulances, and Bagda Panchayat Samiti's Paritosh Saha ensured full administrative cooperation.
• Food poisoning is suspected as the cause; samples have been sent to Barasat for testing, and the exact reason will be clear after the report arrives.
