TMC Councilor Arrested for Elderly Man's Death, Party Suspends Accused

•TMC councilor Rabindranath Bhattacharya of North Barrackpore Municipality arrested for allegedly kicking an elderly man to death.
•The incident occurred during a dispute over illegal construction in Monirampur, Ward No. 23.
•Victim, 81-year-old Tulsi Adhikari, intervened when his son was allegedly assaulted by the councilor.
•Tulsi Adhikari lost consciousness after being kicked and was declared dead at Barrackpore Cantonment Hospital.
•TMC suspended Rabindranath Bhattacharya for 6 years, stating the party does not tolerate such incidents.
