Tragic End: Higher Secondary Examinee Dies Before Exams in Haldia

• Suman Maity, an 18-year-old Higher Secondary examinee from Sapua High School, died tragically before his exams.
• The incident occurred in Basanchak Purba Palli, Haldia, when Suman was cutting a tree branch and came into contact with an electrical wire.
• He was rushed to Haldia Sub-divisional Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
• Suman was the only son of Sujoy and Aparna Maity; his father is traveling from another state for the last rites.
• The accident has cast a pall of grief over his family, friends, and the teaching community just days before the exams begin on February 12.
