• Family claims Gazi was in despair since receiving the SIR notice and submitting all documents, only to find his name still pending.
• He checked the list on the 28th, returned home dejected, and subsequently took the extreme step by hanging himself.
• Rafiq Ali Gazi, five family members, and 111 other residents in booth number 141 are on the pending SIR list.
• Trinamool Congress has called for a protest, alleging a conspiracy to exclude minorities; Panchayat member Jamsidul Islam Sardar's name is also pending.
