West Bengal Delivers Hope: 47 Flood-Hit Families Receive Land Deeds After Teesta Devastation

West Bengal government supports 47 families displaced by the devastating October 2023 Teesta river floods.

1.5 acres of land have been officially handed over to the GTA for distribution to affected families.
•
47 families, who lost their homes in the cloudburst and Lonak Lake explosion, will soon receive land deeds (pattas).
•
GTA had previously announced ₹3 lakh financial assistance for house construction, with many already receiving aid.
•
Anit Thapa, Chief Executive of GTA, will facilitate the land deed distribution, bringing relief 2.5 years post-disaster.
