Namo Bharat RRTS Fully Operational: Delhi-Meerut Travel Under 1 Hour, Boosts Connectivity

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the full 82-km Namo Bharat RRTS corridor between Delhi and Meerut, along with the 23-km Meerut Metro.
• The Namo Bharat RRTS reduces Delhi-Meerut travel time from 3-4 hours to under 1 hour, making Meerut a twin city of Delhi.
• Meerut Metro, integrated with RRTS, is India's fastest Metro service, operating at 120 kmph and expanding India's Metro network to 1,100 km in 25 cities.
• The project, completed in under 7 years, showcases advanced semi-high speed rail technology, aiming for 180 kmph design speed and 160 kmph operational speed.
• Namo Bharat RRTS is expected to decongest NH-34, reduce emissions, boost economic growth in Ghaziabad-Meerut, and promote sustainable urban development.
