Deposit at least ₹500 in your PPF account by March 31 to avoid inactivation for the financial year.
•
Failure to meet the minimum deposit makes your PPF account inactive, blocking facilities like loans and partial withdrawals.
•
Reactivate an inactive PPF account by paying a ₹50 penalty per default year plus the ₹500 minimum deposit for that year.
•
Minimum deposits are also mandatory for Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (₹250) and National Pension System (₹1,000) by March 31.
•
Experts urge completing minimum investments in PPF and other tax-saving schemes by March 31 to maintain benefits.
