Home Loans Cheaper: PNB, Indian Bank, Bank of India cut rates after RBI repo cut
- •Punjab National Bank (PNB) reduced its repo-linked lending rate (RLLR) from 8.35% to 8.10%, effective December 6, 2025.
- •Indian Bank lowered its repo-linked benchmark lending rate from 8.2% to 7.95%, effective December 6.
- •Bank of India also cut its Repo-Based Lending Rate (RBLR) by 25 basis points to 8.1%, effective December 5.
- •These rate reductions by banks followed the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) decision to cut the repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.25% on December 5.
- •The rate cuts are expected to lower interest rates on long-term loans like home loans, reducing EMI burdens for borrowers.
Why It Matters: Cheaper home loans mean lower EMIs for borrowers.
