SBI Cuts Lending Rates by Up to 25 Bps After RBI Policy Easing

  • SBI has cut its lending rates by up to 25 basis points following the RBI's recent policy rate cut.
  • The External Benchmark Linked Rate (EBLR) will decrease by 25 bps to 7.90%, effective December 15, 2025.
  • Marginal Cost of Funds–Based Lending Rate (MCLR) is lowered by 5 bps across all tenors, with the one-year MCLR now at 8.70%.
  • SBI also reduced its Base Rate/BPLR to 9.90% and trimmed fixed deposit rates by 5 bps for the 2–3 year maturity bucket.
  • The Amrit Vrishti special deposit scheme rate has been reduced to 6.45%, with all changes effective December 15, 2025.
