Protect Your Crops: Fight Powdery Mildew in Fenugreek, Peas, Cumin!

  • Powdery mildew, a major threat to Rabi crops like fenugreek, peas, cumin, and coriander, thrives in cold, humid, and fluctuating weather.
  • Symptoms include a white powdery layer on leaves, spreading to stems and flowers, leading to yellowing, wilting, and significant yield loss.
  • Expert Dinesh Jakhar recommends spraying Dinocap 48 EC (1.0 ml/liter) or Defenconazole (0.5 ml/liter), or dusting with sulfur (25 kg/hectare).
  • Spray in the morning or evening for best results; avoid strong sunlight or wind. Re-spray after 10-12 days if needed.
  • Ensure proper drainage, adequate plant spacing for air circulation, and promptly remove infected plants to prevent spread.
