Alipurduar to Bengaluru, Mumbai: Direct Trains Launch Soon! No More Siliguri/Howrah Hassle

• Alipurduar residents will no longer need to travel to Siliguri or Howrah for South India-bound trains.
• Indian Railways has allocated two new trains, including an Amrit Bharat Express, to the Alipurduar Division for Bengaluru and Mumbai.
• The Amrit Bharat Express will be the second train connecting Bengaluru with West Bengal, departing from Alipurduar Junction.
• The weekly Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru on Saturday and arrive in Alipurduar on Monday, returning from Alipurduar on Monday to reach Bengaluru on Thursday.
• Amrit Bharat Express trains are budget-friendly, non-AC, feature 22 coaches (including unreserved and sleeper berths), and can travel up to 130 km/h, with services expected to begin from January 16.
