Tirumala: Govindaraja Swamy Teppotsavams Begin with Grandeur

• The seven-day Sri Govindaraja Swamy Teppotsavams (float festival) commenced grandly in Tirumala.
• The festival began on Monday with traditional rituals and enthusiastic participation from devotees.
• Various deities will participate on different days: Sri Kodandaramaswamy (Jan 26), Sri Parthasarathyswamy (Jan 27), Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswamy (Jan 28), Sri Krishnaswamy (Jan 29), and Sri Govindaraja Swamy (Jan 30-Feb 01).
• On the first day, Sri Kodandaramaswamy, with Sita and Lakshmana, completed five rounds on the float in the Pushkarini, followed by a procession through the four Mada Streets.
• Cultural programs including bhajans, Harikathas, and music were organized by TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project.
