Hathidah-Simaria Double Track Rail Bridge Completed: Trains to Run at 160 km/h

• The Hathidah-Simaria double track rail bridge, built parallel to Rajendra Setu on the Ganga River, is complete.
• Constructed at a cost of approximately 1700 crore, it's a major railway infrastructure achievement.
• A 'Golden Joint Celebration' marked the connection of the final section on pillar number 12.
• The bridge, decorated with tricolor lights, saw IRCON and AFCONS agencies celebrate with fireworks and gulal.
• Trains will operate at 160 km/h without speed reduction; targeted to be operational by June 2026.
