• The Central Government has extended the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) for unorganized workers until the financial year 2030-31, ensuring a guaranteed pension after age 60.
• Small traders, street vendors, laborers, agricultural workers, drivers, homemakers, and domestic workers aged 18-40 are eligible to join APY.
• Subscribers can receive a monthly pension of Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 5,000, starting after completing 60 years of age.
• Upon the subscriber's death, the spouse receives the same pension; after both, the nominee gets a corpus fund of Rs. 1.7 lakh to Rs. 8.5 lakh.
