ATM New Rules: HDFC, PNB, Bandhan Bank Implement Major Changes from April 1
•HDFC Bank will now count UPI-based ATM withdrawals under the free transaction quota, charging Rs. 23 plus taxes after the limit is exceeded.
•Punjab National Bank (PNB) has halved daily ATM withdrawal limits for popular debit cards, reducing RuPay Platinum and Visa Gold from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 50,000.
•PNB also reduced limits for premium cards like Visa Signature and RuPay Select from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 75,000 daily.
•Bandhan Bank now offers only five free financial transactions per month at its own ATMs; metro residents get three free transactions at other bank ATMs.
•A penalty of Rs. 25 will be imposed for ATM transactions that fail due to insufficient funds, urging users to check balances beforehand.
