Starting April 1, 2026, several leading banks will roll out revised ATM rules that change how transactions are counted, the fees applied once free limits are exceeded, and the daily withdrawal caps for certain debit cards.

Bandhan Bank has also updated its ATM usage rules. Customers will be allowed up to five free financial transactions per month at Bandhan Bank ATMs, while non-financial transactions will remain unlimited. At other-bank ATMs, the free transaction limit will be three per month in metro cities and five in non-metro cities, with both financial and non-financial transactions included in the count. Beyond these limits, financial transactions will be charged at ₹23 each, non-financial ones at ₹10, and failed transactions due to insufficient funds will attract a penalty of ₹25.
