Chhapra's Kalawati: From Rs 10,000 Loan to Empowering 100 Women

• Kalawati Devi, from Rampur Ratoli village in Ishupur block, Chhapra, started her journey with a Rs 10,000 loan to buy a sewing machine.
• She expanded her skills to include tailoring, bangle making, sweater knitting, and bouquet preparation, becoming self-reliant.
• Through the government's Jeevika scheme, Kalawati has empowered over 100 unemployed women by providing them training and employment opportunities.
• The women associated with Kalawati engage in various businesses like goat farming, poultry farming, bangle making, and tailoring, earning well and supporting their families.
• Kalawati's products are sold locally in Chhapra, Patna, Siwan, and Gopalganj, with sales reaching four lakh rupees at the Patna Saras Mela and Sonepur Mela.
