Gold & Silver Prices Drop Post-Holi in India Amid Market Volatility

Gold and silver prices saw a decline in India after Holi, despite increasing market volatility.

On March 5, 24-carat gold was ₹164,650 per 10 grams in Delhi and ₹164,500 in Mumbai.
•
Internationally, spot gold prices rose by 0.8% to $5,176.69 per ounce, with US futures up 1%.

The rise in global gold demand is attributed to its safe-haven status amidst the Israel-Iran war tensions.
•
Silver also saw a drop in India to ₹284,900 per kg, while international spot prices increased by 1.2% to $84.43 per ounce.
