• Posing as bank officials, scammers collected OTPs from farmers, emptying their accounts; over 8,000 farmers were defrauded by this gang.
• Police arrested Rajkumar Das and Deepak Sharma, seizing ATM cards and passbooks, suspecting a larger network behind the scam.
• Farmers are warned not to share OTPs, PINs, or CVV details, or click suspicious links, as the government never asks for such information.
