If you have one tola of gold, how much loan will a bank grant? This is strictly governed by RBI regulations. According to these rules, banks provide only a certain percentage of the gold’s value as a loan, known as the Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio. Currently, banks offer up to 85 per cent of the value for smaller amounts (up to Rs. 2.5 lakh). For amounts between Rs. 2.5 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh, they provide 80 per cent. For larger sums, the maximum is 75 per cent.
