Dal Lake Vibes in Delhi: Kashmiri Houseboat Coming to Baansera Park

• Delhi is set to get a Kashmiri-inspired houseboat at Baansera Park in Sarai Kale Khan, bringing a slice of Dal Lake's charm to the capital.
• The DDA's ₹4 crore project will install a 60-foot long, 9-meter high structure permanently fixed to land, serving as a community space and backdrop.
• Designed with traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship, it will feature Persian-style motifs and use deodar, cedar, walnut, and chinar woods for an authentic feel.
• The interior will include a multi-purpose hall, glazed meeting room for 15-20 people, lobby, pantry, eating areas, gallery spaces, and decks.
• Part of the Yamuna floodplain revival, the houseboat is expected to be ready by mid-2026, offering a unique cultural and recreational spot.
