Delhi-NCR Air Cleans Up: Rain Washes Away Pollution, AQI Drops to 'Satisfactory'
•
Heavy rain in Delhi-NCR has drastically improved air quality, with AQI falling to 92 (satisfactory) from over 300.
•
The improvement is attributed to a Western Disturbance bringing moisture-laden winds and a cyclonic circulation over Haryana.
•
Snowfall in the mountains will bring icy winds, ensuring pleasant weather and cooler temperatures for the next 2-3 days.
•
Weather is expected to clear from March 20 evening, with the system moving eastward to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal.
•
Despite immediate relief, the Meteorological Department warns AQI could rise again to 'very poor' levels once winds subside.
