•Today, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, and Jhargram will experience light to moderate rain.
•North Bengal faces increased thunderstorms and rain from Friday, with heavy rain and hailstorms expected in Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
•South Bengal, including Kolkata, will see storms and rain from Friday, with a Nor'wester alert for seven districts.
•Wind speeds will gradually decrease over the weekend, but scattered thundershowers will continue in both North and South Bengal.
