R N Ravi, Doval's Former Deputy & Nagaland Peace Architect, Named Bengal Governor

• R N Ravi, former Deputy National Security Advisor under Ajit Doval, has been appointed Governor of West Bengal.
• He is known for his exceptional skill in resolving the Nagaland issue in 2014, bringing peace to the region.
• A 1976-batch IPS officer from the Kerala cadre, he previously served in the IB, CBI, and as Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee.
• During his tenure in the Intelligence Bureau, he suppressed insurgencies in Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast India, and Maoist-affected areas.
• Ravi previously served as Governor of Nagaland and Tamil Nadu, where he frequently clashed with the DMK government.
