Kajlagarh Palace: Digha Trip Incomplete Without Visiting This 400-Year-Old Ruin

•Built in the 18th century by Mahendranarayan Roychowdhury, the ninth king of Sujamutha, this palace was a symbol of wealth.
•Originally named Kalirgarh after founder Gobardhan who installed Mother Kali's idol, it later became Kajlagarh.
•The site once featured a significant Navaratna temple of Gopaljiu, Shiva and Kali temples, a grand palace, queen's quarters, and a Rasmancha, all surrounded by a moat.
