Stop Washing Raw Meat Under Tap: WHO Warns Against Dangerous Practice
•
Washing raw chicken or mutton under running tap water spreads dangerous bacteria like Campylobacter and Salmonella through splashes.
•
This 'cross-contamination' can affect sinks, countertops, utensils, and even other food items, increasing the risk of food poisoning.
•

•

•
If you must clean, do so gently in a bowl of water, keep other foods away, and wash hands thoroughly after handling raw meat.
