•Music director Madan Mohan's composition was disliked by Khosla, prompting actor Manoj Kumar to intervene.
•Manoj Kumar, along with producer NN Sippy, convinced Khosla to reconsider after hearing the song's emotional depth.
•After repeated listening, Raj Khosla realized the song's brilliance, calling himself 'a fool' for his initial judgment.
•Lag Jaa Gale became a timeless classic and one of Lata Mangeshkar's personal favorite recordings.
