Modi Govt Regularizes 3 Special Trains for Telangana, AP; Boosts Connectivity
•Union Railway Minister Kishan Reddy announced the regularization of three special train services for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
•Kachiguda-Tuticorin, Hyderabad-Kanyakumari, and Cherlapalli-Shalimar routes are now regular, offering improved booking, comfort, and reduced travel time.
•The Modi government has significantly invested in Telangana railways since 2014, launching 91 new services and allocating Rs. 36,286 crores.
•Telangana uniquely received sanction for 3 high-speed rail corridors, with Rs. 47,984 crores worth of railway works currently underway.
•The move aims to ease travel difficulties for passengers, especially those traveling to AP, Madras, and Kerala, by converting special trains to permanent services.
