Modi Govt Regularizes 3 Special Trains for Telangana, AP; Boosts Connectivity

• Union Railway Minister Kishan Reddy announced the regularization of three special train services for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
• Kachiguda-Tuticorin, Hyderabad-Kanyakumari, and Cherlapalli-Shalimar routes are now regular, offering improved booking, comfort, and reduced travel time.
• The Modi government has significantly invested in Telangana railways since 2014, launching 91 new services and allocating Rs. 36,286 crores.
• Telangana uniquely received sanction for 3 high-speed rail corridors, with Rs. 47,984 crores worth of railway works currently underway.
• The move aims to ease travel difficulties for passengers, especially those traveling to AP, Madras, and Kerala, by converting special trains to permanent services.
