Baharampur Hosts 3-Day Kobi Gaan Workshop to Revive Traditional Art Form

• A 3-day special workshop for traditional Kobi Gaan is underway in Baharampur, Murshidabad, to promote the art form.
• Organized by Lok Sanskriti O Adibasi Sanskriti Kendra and Murshidabad District Information and Culture Department, the event is held at Baharampur Rabindra Sadan.
• 100 folk artists from Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum, and Purba Bardhaman districts are participating.
• Kobiyals are receiving hands-on training in performance techniques, language, and rhythm to make Kobi Gaan appealing to the new generation.
• Veteran Kobi Gaan artist Kanchan Mondal, with 50 years of experience, is also attending to learn new techniques and collaborate with other artists.
