Malda Division's New Signalling System Slashes Train Travel Time

Malda Division commissions Intermediate Block Signalling at Noapara Mahishasur Halt, between Monigram and Mahipal Road stations.
•
The new system divides a 12 km block section into two 6 km blocks, enhancing train operating capacity and speed.
•
Changes made to Siemens' electronic interlocking system at Monigram and panel interlocking at Mahipal Road.
•
A non-interlocked level crossing gate has been connected to the intermediate block signal.
•
The project was completed without disrupting train movement, and staff training is underway for smooth implementation.
